Pinas adventure (Part 3)
Hays sighs… Sorry to update after a week! *Your Ate is busy! Hardly working, este working hard “daw”*
While I was checked in Dusit Thani (I never enjoyed my 5 star accommodation, not their not so 5 star! But I was always out GrrrrRRrrrrRR!!!) my ride picked me up around 11pm para daw mag Malate, saan? Sa Library! *Pootah di pa man din nagiinit ang bangkay sa hotel, ayan may lakad na.* Wala talagang pahinga si Curacha while summering in Pinas!
I was picked up at the lobby and as soon as I sat my brother asked me… O asan na ang back pack mo? Tangina! Hehehehe…
So there we was, at The Library!
It’s not your usual library, I tell yah! This library are full of trannies and the like hahaha! It is indeed the nosiest library I have been to!!!
It is a comedy bar/restaurant and karaoke in one. O diba?
Pinas adventure (Part 2)
I stayed at Intercontinental Hotel and in Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City during my first 4 days in Pinas. It was all good! Walang ifis at daga hehehe… Both Intercon and Dusit hotels have great location in the crowded Makati business area. (Points of interest: Greenbelt, Ayala, Glorietta — etc…)
Both hotels have shower in a tub with hot water running 24/7 *Footah, kalokohan naman siguro kung wala no?* granite countertop and was well stocked with clean towels and bath necessities.
Intercon and Dusit has almost the same features in my hotel room, A flat screen TV, WI-FI access for a minimal fee, a mini-bar *Whoa! This I likey-likey!* and a safe.
My room in both hotels was indeed very clean and just sufficiently large for 2 people. There were no noise. I slept quite well during my jetlag/lasenga moments!
Compliments of the hotel? Ano kayang hotel? Hmmmm… Bribe?
Walang araw na hindi ako lasing sa Manila…
Ako na nga nasuko! *Young really started drinking in a very early age! As in early, para bang may nakadikit na akong bote ng beer, pagkapanganak pa lang sa akin lol!*
Pinas adventure!
As I always say — I always been nerbus and excited to go to Pinas, I just don’t know what’s going to happen to me there… Kung ma ki-kidnap ba ako o ma-sa-salvage bwahahaha… I have never to Pinas for a veryyyyy long long time and I dunno what to expect, I’ve heard many stories, some good and some bad.
*On a very strong Pilipino accent* You be better be carepul coz you kno’ der’s alot of mandirigma ober der. You kno’ you gotta wats your staps ol d time, don’t be ol ober d flace, cos you neber kno’ you might be sitting or woking next to a snatsher - you kno’ snatsher? O your camera u wats it okay! [And that is my aunt briefing me hehehe... 4 weeks before I leave, I tell you mas-excited pa yang puday na yan sa akin!]
70 degrees and rising!
Oh my geez, last week for 4 consecutive days we experienced a bit of summer here sa aming lovely mansion chateu de ChuvaChienes downnnn south - yet it’s not even officially spring noh! [Oh well, that is a day or two of having 10 inches of snow!]
Rocky steps
I am standing in the front steps of Philadelphia Museum of Art in Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. (The steps is also known as the “Rocky steps” it’s where the movie Rocky was filmed.)
It overlooks - the City Hall, Comcast building (The tallest building in Philadelphia.) Benjamin Franklin Parkway (Street that displays flags of different countries every.) and the Logan Square
American Swedish Museum
It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane, It’s Superman…???
Hidden gem in Philadelphia [Magic Gardens]
Everytime I would pass by South Street - I would stop and would be in awe. I did not even know that it’s called magic gardens, until I paid a visit a few weeks ago.
Random objects into art?
LOVE? Is something.., you can sculp!
I’ve seen love from the most unexpected places…
Robert Indiana’s LOVE sculpture in Blanche Levy Park.
Dueling Tampons?
Surely it’s called dueling tampons! I dunno why, heck it doesn’t even look like a tampon or “tampons”
Keep the FAITH!
Wat Mongkoltepmunee (pronounced as Mong-kon-TAPE-mu-nee)
The only Thai shrine in the United States built as a near-replica of the well-known Wat Benjamabophit in Bangkok, Thailand
This Thai Temple in the heart of bustling Bensalem, PA — yards away from the traffic backups, gas stations, grocery stores, Applebee’s and Walgreen’s on Street Road.
Wat Mongkoltepmunee was named for the late Phra Mongkhon Thepmuni, a famous abbot who headed Wat Paknam, an ancient temple in Thailand.
