Brick Freak: Nathan Sawaya

Most artists use glass, paint, charcoal. Some uses wood and metal.

But for Nathan Sawaya.

He chooses his medium to be LEGO.

His art is currently touring North American museums in a show titled, The Art of the Brick. It’s the only exhibition focusing exclusively on LEGO as an art medium.

The creations, constructed from nearly one million pieces,

were built from standard bricks beginning as early as 2002.

I have learned that Nathan Sawaya

accepts commissions from corporations and individuals as well! [Makapagpagawa nga nga ako ng momumento ko!] Well actually he accepts commissions for just about anyone with a good idea!

I had fun at this exhibit! I am a bit inspired by his work…

And almost bought this. But no - I still have plans for the day…

Lakwatsawise, kung binili ko to eh di malamang kaladkad-kaladkad ko sya? Ngek - NO!

(ayaw ko masira ang poise ko, naulan na nga eh!) Basta vanity comes first! Though, I really love to have this…
