FA-Q: American Swedish Historical Museum in South Philadelphia is the oldest Swedish Museum in the United States. It was founded in 1926, the Museum has been dedicated to preserving and promoting Swedish and Swedish-American cultural heritage and traditions for nearly 80 years.

The museum is not that big. But, it’s full of interesting things.

This is a Swedish Provincial costume. I remember I used to have a Swedish doll noong ako’y isang babae pa hehehe… *Hmmm I am so excited about next years Halloween, I might dress up like Swedish Provincial ghel. *

Traditional Sáami costume, they used to wear this kind o clothing around 1900’s

Nordic sweets anyone? This is inside the museum shop — where you will find everything from christmas decor, candies, dala horses, books and cd’s all imported from Sweden.
